Getting the size right
What sizes is HappySkin available in?
Baby sizes run from 0 to 3 months up to 2 to 3 years. Child sizes run from 2 to 3 years up to 11 to 12 years. See the size guide for heights and weights.
How should it fit?
Snug: close to the skin, not tight and not loose. The DreamSkin coating has to touch the skin to work, so a loose garment won’t give the same results. Only size up if they are at the very top of a size.
What if I order the wrong size?
You can exchange it within 30 days, as long as it is unworn and unwashed. See returns and exchanges.
Day to day
Can I use creams with HappySkin?
Keep using anything your GP has prescribed. Don’t stop or change an emollient or steroid cream on our advice. Thick or paraffin based creams sit on the surface of the fabric and stop it working, so apply a thin layer of a non paraffin moisturiser and let it absorb before dressing. If you are unsure how to time a steroid around wear, ask your GP.
How do I use HappySkin?
Wear it next to the skin with a snug fit, day and night if needed, under normal clothes or as nightwear. It is ready to wear straight from the box.
Do I need a special detergent?
No. Wash it with your normal detergent at 30 to 40°C. Tumble dry low or medium, and don’t bleach or dry clean. The coating is bonded to the fabric, so it doesn’t wash out.
Do I need to wash it before the first wear?
No. It can be worn straight from the box. Check the care label before you wash it.
Is HappySkin suitable for newborns?
Yes. Baby sizes start at 0 to 3 months, and the range runs from bodysuits and sleepsuits for newborns to tops and leggings for children up to 12.
Can my child sleep in the head mask?
The head mask is designed so the nose area is not covered.
How the fabric works
How does DreamSkin work?
Every HappySkin garment is soft cotton and TENCEL with a coating of the DreamSkin polymer. It holds and releases moisture at the skin, so skin isn’t left too dry or too damp, and it lets the body heat and cool as it needs to.
What is TENCEL?
TENCEL is a branded lyocell fibre. We blend it with cotton for a soft, breathable fabric. The long sleeve bodysuit, for example, is 53% cotton, 42% TENCEL and 5% elastane.
What’s the difference between HappySkin and DreamSkin?
HappySkin is a TENCEL and cotton blend with a lower level of the DreamSkin coating. DreamSkin garments are silk with a higher level of the polymer, and are a medical device available on NHS prescription for moderate to severe eczema. More about DreamSkin

How much is delivery?
UK delivery is £2.99, free on orders of £50 and over. Other options and international delivery are shown at checkout. See delivery information.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
Yes. Choose your country at checkout and the delivery cost is shown before you pay. Import VAT, duty and customs charges are not included and may be payable when your parcel arrives.
How do I return or exchange an item?
You can return or exchange items within 30 days of receiving your order, as long as they are unused, unwashed and in their original condition. You pay the return postage, and delivery charges are not refunded, unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong one. Our brown box is designed to be reused for sending items back.
