EU Customs & Import – Post Brexit

The prices shown on our website exclude Import Duty, or Customs Administrative charges. Our delivery charges only cover the cost of shipping the order to you and do not include any other charges that may be incurred.

Depending on where your order is being sent to within the EU, duty charged will vary. However, we will be collecting VAT/TAX at checkout and will be paid on your behalf to the relevant authorities in your receiving country.

Children’s clothing is VAT exempt in the UK, and so previous shipments to countries to EU countries, when the UK was in the European Union, did not incur a charge to the customer.

As a consequence of the UK’s departure from the EU, this VAT is now required, with the amount determined by each individual country within the EU. If you live in a country that charges DUTY on children’s clothing, then you will be expected to pay this.

HappySkin will continue to trade as normal in processing your orders from our UK warehouse for UK, USA, Rest of the World (ROW) (non-EU) customers. There will be no change to how you receive your HappySkin Order.

All orders to the European Union will now be shipped with Delivery Duty Paid (DDP), so any order(s) shipped outside of the UK may incur local custom duties not VAT as we will be collecting this on behalf you and paid to the relevant authorities.

This mean that the customer is responsible for paying, or claiming back, any Import Duty due on receipt of your order.

Our advice to all our customer outside of the UK, and particularly within EU (European Union) countries, to check with their local customs for duties costs, before making a purchase. As these must be paid in order to allow customs to release your order/goods.

Yes, we will be collecting your local TAX/VAT at checkout and will be paid to the representative country on your behalf. Please note that you still have the responsibility of checking any Duties that may incur at your receiving destination.

If you (the customer) refuse to accept delivery or custom charges. This may cause goods to be returned back to us, then you (the customer) will be liable to pay the courier and any duty costs out of any refund we make to you.

Once your order has been dispatched, we are unable to amend it.
Adding, removing, or replacing items in your order once it has been placed is the sole discretion of HappySkin, may incur additional costs.

Due to BREXIT, you may experience minor delays time to time. However, we kindly ask all customer to track the status of their order frequently for updates.
