The Healing Process & How You Can Get The Most Out Of HappySkin

Removing oils, paraffin & petroleum

Whilst waiting for HappySkin clothing to arrive start to bathe your little one daily with a sensitive-skin bodywash directly into the bath to clean the skin from parafins, oils and petroleum which could be blocking the skins pores.

This is the worse phase of eczema

Red angry skin can be a sign of infection. You should consider using a very small amount of steroid cream prescribed by our GP for 1-3 days only.

The skin may appear worse before it gets better

As the skin heals it will progress from the red angry phase to the dry scaly phase. This is normal and common when the skin is healing. We recommend using small amounts of paraffin-free moisturising cream whenever the skin appears dry alongside your HappySkin clothing.

Happy, Clear Skin

You should start to see results within 7 days after removing paraffins & petroleum-based cream from the skin.

FAQ's

The healing process can be as short as 4 days but we have seen longer results to clear skin due to prior use of paraffin, oil & petroleum-based creams being used alongside HappySkin.

We recommend using Rejuvaskin Recovery Cream or Cerva Baby Lotion (paraffin-free version) with HappySkin, with many parents having tried this cream and have experienced great results.

SKIN EXPERT CONSULTATION

Eczema is a long-term condition which causes the skin to become dry, red, itchy, and cracked. It is most common in children and may improve over time.

The most common form of eczema is atopic eczema, which can affect any part of the body but is often found inside the elbows, knees, on the neck, hands, cheeks, and scalp.

If traditional medication is not working or you need just need some advice on how to get the best out of your HappySkin garments, please arrange an appointment with one of our skin experts, who will explain just how the skin works and how to treat their eczema flare up by dealing with the root cause of the problem rather than treating the symptoms.

Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions to ensure you get the maximum benefit from the consultation.

Questions for consultation

  • How old is your child
  • Where is the eczema located
  • What medication are you currently using?
  • Have you started using HappySkin yet?
  • Do you know what causes your child’s eczema to flare up?

Cost for consultation for new customers is just £15 and is fully redeemable against your next HappySkin purchase.
