Using creams with HappySkin
Keep using any emollient or steroid cream your GP has prescribed. Don't stop or change it on our advice. Thick or paraffin based creams sit on the surface of the fabric and stop it working, so apply a thin layer of a non-paraffin moisturiser and let it absorb before dressing. If you are unsure how to time a prescribed steroid around wear, ask your GP.
Fabric and washing
White only, with no dyes. Ready to wear straight from the box. Wash at 30 to 40°C, tumble dry low or medium, do not bleach or dry clean. Some bobbling after washing is normal with this soft fabric and does not affect how it works.

How the DreamSkin coating works
Every HappySkin garment is soft cotton and TENCEL with a coating of the DreamSkin polymer. The same polymer, at a higher level, is used in DreamSkin silk garments available on NHS prescription.

Keep creams thin
The coating has to touch the skin to work, and thick creams or ointments block it. Use a thin layer of a non-paraffin moisturiser and let it dry completely before dressing.

Wear it as much as you need
Day and night, up to 24 hours a day if needed, under their normal clothes or as nightwear.

About these leggings
Do they help with eczema behind the knees?
Yes, the snug fit specifically targets knee creases where eczema commonly develops. The DreamSkin coating reduces moisture accumulation and friction in these sensitive fold areas.
Can my baby crawl and walk in them?
Absolutely. The stretchy TENCEL cotton allows full mobility. The integrated feet provide grip for early walkers while protecting delicate foot skin from floor irritants.
Are they better than normal baby legging?
Unlike common leggings without any technique, our leggings actively treat the underlying skin condition while providing mechanical protection against scratching.
