That equates to 5 little miracles every single second – pretty amazing, right? Well, between the 14th and 20th of November, these miracles are being celebrated by Baby Week UK 2023! Launched in Leeds in 2016, Baby Week has gone national, bringing together a range of sectors to promote the best possible start in life for newly-borns.
It also focuses on the importance of the first 1,001 days of life while highlighting the opportunities, support and services available for current parents and expectant mothers. The event is now held annually in Bradford, Cheshire & Merseyside, Calderdale, Coventry, Newcastle, Nottinghamshire, Redcare & Cleveland and Torbay, and your location could be next – something you can request by filling out their contact form.
How Can Baby Week 2023 Be Celebrated?
Baby Week UK can be celebrated in any way you want to! It could be as simple as going to the library, locating a new parent group, or accessing well-being and health support for carers, parents, and babies. Everyone involved is encouraged to provide their services at little or no cost, so it’s normally free to take part.
Culminating on the 20th of November – World Children’s Day – various in-person and virtual events are being held nationwide, offering professionals, parents, carers and the under 5s a chance to get together and talk. The valuable feedback provided can be used to enhance the support babies are given during those important early years.
