Using creams with HappySkin
For best results, stop using products containing paraffin. Thick, paraffin-based creams sit on the surface of the fabric and stop the coating from working, so please make sure any paraffin residue is thoroughly washed off your child’s skin before dressing. If your child’s skin needs extra moisture, apply a thin layer of a non-paraffin cream, and let the cream absorb fully before putting on the garment. The unique coating on your HappySkin garment works best when in direct contact with your child’s skin.
Fabric and washing
White only, with no dyes. Ready to wear straight from the box. Wash at 30 to 40°C, tumble dry low or medium, do not bleach or dry clean. Some bobbling after washing is normal with this soft fabric and does not affect how it works.

Everything for their daily routine, made for easier nights. The clothing is ready to wear straight from the box, no need to wash first.

“I really like how the fold over mittens actually stay closed unlike many other ones.”
Add them here or after the pack, and everything arrives together in one parcel.
“The starter pack has helped me decide what style of clothing works best for my daughter. The material is unbelievable soft and within the first 3 nights of using it we have seen a big difference. She’s sleeping better and less irritated.”
“Overall speaking, the pack is quite good. But the quality of the legging is not good. It started to show pilling after 2 to 3 washes. The labels on the clothes also get cracked fairly soon and scratch on the skin.”
“The body suit and sleep suit have a different fit so recommend getting them separately. The bodysuit is much smaller fit for a 3month old I don’t think will fit 4 or 5 months.”
“Great value pack for my baby who has moderate eczema. The lightweight material is really good to not trap heat and i feel like it's really made a difference to his skin”
“Very happy with the products and my babie's skin is already better afte just 1 week of use. really wish the cream recommended was availabre on the website.”
“Brilliant”
“My daughter’s eczema has completely cleared up! I’ve been using the happyskin babygro at night and then the leggings and long sleeve vest during the day. The only place she still has eczema now is on her neck which unfortunately doesn’t get covered by the Hap…”
“This kit was much better value as you get the bodysuit, trousers and vest. I really wanted the socks too but these were sold out in my 2 year olds size, however the trousers and bodysuit come with attached feet so not an issue for us. It's working well for us…”
“The top and Leggings were very useful for my toddler's night use. The sleepsuit legs poppers can be opened by a child scratching feet though. Also the more itchy my 2year old is the more she tries to remove her sleeves by pulling them. Unless something is wor…”
“Packaged nicely. Clothes really soft smooth and good quality. Only thing is can’t wash them above 30 as the quality changes.”
“Great seen and improvement within the week”
“Really helpful my sons skin.”

How the DreamSkin coating works
DreamSkin is coated on every garment. Our unique technology supports the skin's natural moisturisation to keep your little one at a comfortable temperature, whilst reducing sweat and itch.
Manages moistureHolds and releases moisture at the skin, so it isn’t left too dry or too damp.
Regulates temperatureLets the body heat and cool as it needs to, so they stay comfortable at night.
- Doesn’t wash out. Bonded to the fabric, so it washes at 30 to 40°C with everything else.
- Works from the box. No need to wash it first.
Getting the best from HappySkin
-
Keep creams thin
The coating has to touch the skin to work, and thick creams or ointments block it. Use a thin layer of a non-paraffin moisturiser and let it dry completely before dressing.
-
Choose a snug fit
Snug but not too tight, so the coating stays in contact with the skin. Check the size chart
-
Wear it as much as you need
Day and night, up to 24 hours a day if needed, under their normal clothes or as nightwear.
For best results, stop using products containing paraffin/petrolatum. Please ensure that paraffin residue in skin pores is thoroughly washed out. The unique coating on your HappySkin garment works best when in direct contact with your child’s skin.
About this pack
What kind of sleepwear is best for a baby with eczema?
The best choice is a thin, breathable all-in-one sleepsuit with built-in mitts, because extra heat makes itching worse and fingernails do the most damage at night. Our HappySkin soothing eczema sleepsuit covers your baby's arms, body and legs in a breathable, super-soft layer, while the DreamSkin technology manages moisture and regulates temperature, and the integrated foldable mitts protect the skin from scratching.
How should I dress my baby with eczema at night?
Dress your baby in the sleepsuit on its own, without extra layers on top, because additional layers trap heat and heat sets off itching. Keeping the bedroom between 16 and 20°C helps too. Our guide on 'what should a child with eczema wear to bed?' covers the full bedtime routine.
Is eczema worse at night for babies?
Often, yes. Babies tend to get warmer in the evening and have nothing to distract them from the itch, so many scratch more once they are in bed. That is why the Bedtime Pack centres on the sleepsuit, which keeps your baby comfortable and covered when scratching is most likely.
